Singapore International Festival of Arts
May - June 2022, Singapore
Singapore’s pinnacle annual arts festival to expand the definition of performing arts.
Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA), is the nation’s multi-venue arts festival featuring the inter-disciplinary local and international artists.
I worked with the team to launch the 2022 edition of SIFA, Singapore’s pinnacle international performing arts festival, that since 1977 celebrated the best of performing arts, with over 430 local and international artists involved across over 70 performances and activities in-person and online. The Festival ran for three weeks from 20 May to 5 June, and enjoyed over 20,000 visitors in attendance.
The diverse programmes expanded the defining of performing arts, as well as the production process, many of which were undertaken during the pandemic. As result, 11 new original commissions were produced, in addition to fringe events and a virtual venue that housed a variety of original digital content. I also worked on the rebranding that took a new edge to appeal to the digital audience of the times.
