Teenage Angst Has Paid Off Well
The exhibition catalogue for an exhibition of rare vintage band t-shirts in Singapore.
Long Live The CD.
I designed the catalogue to go along with the exhibition ‘Teenage Angst Has Paid Off Well’ that I organised at WOAW Gallery (Singapore). Inspired by my teenage school days when carried more CDs than textbooks, and bus rides were just me living in my headphones, the catalogue takes the form of the classic CD.
The main image itself was a parody of Nirvana’s Nevermind album – the baby grew up and now has a dad bod. The CD booklet catalogue featured all 20 t-shirts in the show, with anecdotes from the owners, as well as tips on collecting. Every detail was considered, from the polybag, to the price tags stickers, to the CD. Limited to 50 copies, each CD featured a unique hand-drawn artwork, yet another homage to the times when we would scribble the playlists titles onto burnt CDs. The CDs are blank (can’t find a CD Burner) but has a QR code to access a Spotify playlist.
